The NRM Electoral Commission chairperson, Tanga Odoi has expressed concern about shameless Members of Parliament who have made it a norm to ask for ‘sodas’ from East African Legislative Assembly aspirants with promises to vote for them
According to Odoi, EALA aspirants in NRM complained to him about MPs who are involved in the unacceptable act of soliciting them for sodas in form of cash.
“MPs asking for sodas from EALA aspirants in order to be voted,” Odoi said.
This comes at a moment when several aspirants from various political parties are all heated up trying to convince MPs to vote for them in any way possible.
Apparently NRM has 46 nominees battling for six slots whereas the opposition and independent have more than 10 nominees competing for three slots.
