Nile Breweries has fired its Marketing Manager Daniel Ogong over under performance.
For the past years, Nile Breweries was Uganda’s beer market leaders but now days things have changed, the company does not receive much gain as it used prior.
The company decided to exert much working pressure on workers so that it can regain its sales position in the country. Many workers have failed to coup up with the current situation and one of the affected workers was Ogong.
Due to failure to meet his bosses needs, Breweries decided to give Ogong a soft landing to resign but in real sense he was fired since the new no nonsense bosses wanted real performance.
The development comes shortly after the purchase of SABmiller, — a UK based company to which Nile Breweries is subsidiary, — by Anheuser-Busch InBev NV, the world’s largest beer making company.
Ogong who has held the marketing docket leadership becomes the second brewery marketing director to vacate in months after the much publicised exit of Grace Nshemeire who held a similar position at Luzira based Uganda breweries.
