Information reaching us indicates that the 10th parliament is in process to procure a helicopter for Speaker Rebecca Kadaga.
It is alleged that the alarming proposal is set to feature in the next financial year budget 2017/2018 and the plane is budgeted to cost $5.5 million
However, recently parliament through its Director of Communication and Public Affairs, Chris Obore issued a statement refuting the helicopter allegations instead accused the government officials involved in the shs6 billion presidential handshake to be behind the development.
According to Obore, the officials who championed the sharing of the oil cash realized from the tax battle between Uganda and British oil company, Heritage, want to divert the attention of the public from the current probe.
