Singer Wycliff Tugume alias Ykee Benda has had it rough with his fans after sharing his Covid-19 status on Twitter.
The singer opened up that he has been battling with the deadly Covid-19 since last week but luckily he is improving so well now.
“I have been hit by this virus since Tuesday last week… the headaches, the joints, discomfort, the sleepless nights, the fevers, terrible!! But I am not here to continue to scare you. I am her to give you hope… I am finally pulling through hence why I have chosen to share,” Benda tweeted on Friday.
Since the virus is mainly spread through physical contact, some of Benda’s fans believe that the singer’s habit of sleeping around with his friend’s girlfriends led him to the disease.
“That’s what u get when you snatch Bruno K’s girl friend,” a one Michael Tas said and Benda responded to this tweet with ‘And many more others’.
“How do you snatch a Munyoro lady from her boyfriend?? Some notes please,” Savage King asked.
However, although the current Covid-19 status in Uganda is worrying with at least over 1000 cases being reported each day, some Tweeps were not convinced that the singer is indeed suffering from the pandemic since many celebrities often use trending scenarios (covid-19 for instance) to make news and stay relevant in news.
“This pretence also attracts attention from the public!” Hesketh claimed before a one Mariah Cater asked the singer “Are we supposed to trust you this time?”
However, another fan advised him to go first do a malaria and typhoid check up before “pretending” to have Covid-19.
“Temukisusa nyo. Some of you just have flu and cough (the bad one), yes Covid is there but not everyone who has flu and cough has Covid,” Sharon Stone said.
