On 5th June every year, Uganda joins the rest of the World in celebrating World Environment Day.
Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green- a civil society organisation that works with children under 13 years old by mentoring them into being the main custodians and drivers of environmental conservation in Uganda crowned the NEMA World Environment Day week celebrations with a Caravan all the way from Kampala to Masindi planting trees and educating the children on the best environmental practices.
They visited Several primary schools enroute Masindi while planting trees, educating children on sound environmental practices and WASH programmes in their homes and schools in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking to the Children, the founder of Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green Mr Joseph Masembe reminded pupils that “the environment is our future and our future is our responsibility”.
