Huawei has published its list of devices that will be, or already are, eligible to receive EMUI 11 beta, the company’s latest in-house OS. According to a social media post on Weibo, 37 devices will be eligible to receive EMUI 11 beta. All devices, including Honor handsets like the V30 Pro, should start receiving beta builds by the end of November. Unsurprisingly, recent flagships like the P40 series have made the cut, as have the Mate 30 series.
Huawei is yet to announce when it will begin rolling out stable EMUI 11 updates to devices, nor whether these 37 will also be eligible to receive EMUI 11 beta builds outside of China. However, Huawei Central claims to have received ‘information’ to the effect that stable updates will commence from November.
Android 10 is at the heart of EMUI 11, just as it was with EMUI 10 and EMUI 10.1. Android 11 will be making its way to Huawei’s in-house OS eventually, but EMUI 11 still offers plenty of new features over EMUI 10.1, including new animations and themes to floating app windows. Huawei has updated its set of pre-installed apps too, an overview of which you can find on the company’s website.
