Songstress Rema Namakula has also joined the rest of the world to celebrate World Teachers Day.
Rema, an old student of St. Balikuddembe senior school where she started her music journey, said that she turned into the woman she is now because of the great work done by her teachers.
And through her social media pages on Monday, the singer applauded teachers for going an extra mile to continue with teaching children amidst the Covid-9 pandemic lockdown.
“Most of us are products of our best teachers who go the extra mile to make us who we are. Today, I would like to honour all the teachers who have been there for our children and ensure that they continued learning virtually even when we are under lockdown,” she said.
Adding that, “@You will forever be treasure. Lets all take this opportunity to honour, #ThatOneTeacher who has been there for you or your child during this pandemic. I wish you all a happy World Teacher’s Day.”
