The Uganda Cerficate examinations start today.

The candidates are expected to start with physics paper 3.

Last Friday, the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) conducted a briefing of all candidates who will sit in the examinations across the country.

According to Dan N Odongo, the UNEB executive secretary, 323,129 candidates are to sit for their final exams from 3,453 centres.

Over 1,600 scouts and security personnels have been deployed all over the country to monitor the conduct of exams and to deal with threats that may emerge.

The examination body has warned schools to desist from examination malpractice as this will call for cancellation of their results.
