Uganda’s richest man Sudhir Ruparelia has mysterious left the country.
The move is worrying economic, political and security circles.
Sudhir whose Cranes bank was taken away from him by the government, should be looking for other means to keep his empire afloat.
Sudhir alone controls about 10% of Kampala economy with his wide investments in hospitality, properties, education, agriculture among others.
Experts say Uganda’s economic collapse could have caused the country’s wealthiest man to flee. Others say, there’s a move to have him arrested for money laundering using his bank.
Sudhir however has investments in Rwanda, Emirates, India and United Kingdom.
